The year 2016 had been proved a great and extravagant year in the history of Kolkata Fashion Expo as KFE kicked off at the City of Joy and went onto conquering the foreign soils of Nepal and Bangladesh. The zeal to revive the ethnic fashion spirit by traversing the different roads to different cultures was again followed in these three KFE events and we were able to portray the stunning and proud cultural forms throughout the days of KFE.
This time KFE at Kolkata took a different shape and went on to apply a western pattern of designing the whole event and people were astounded to witness the extraordinary workings of the squares at the front. When it came to decor of the Expo, we gathered some of the mind blowing artists who exhilarated the whole event with impressive bits and parts. While black and white dominated the outside decor of the Expo, the interior was adorned with golden touch that neatly conjured up the majestic setting. This time KFE was more about giving surprises to its patrons as we sought to arrange an evening that was dedicated not only to classical music and instruments but also to various colourful musical and dance performances including famous Punjabi Bhaangra with Dhols. So you see, KFE is such a platform where diverse cultures from different parts of country are brought together and people get a lifetime experience of witnessing the aura of such unique composition. Being situated in Kolkata, KFE each time revisits the great Bengali Culture and in 2016, KFE brought together three diverse cultures – Bengali, Punjabi and Western. The stage of KFE 2016 Kolkata has been a glamorous one as the stars of the Blockbuster Rustom, Akshay Kumar, Illeana D’Cruz and Esha Gupta left everyone spellbound with their presence and the cast of Fever Rajiv Khandelwal and Gauhar Khan have also turned up the heat among the guests. Not only they made an appearance at KFE but also they interacted with the people and showed their deep love and respect for the culture of Bengal.
Since India is the home to diverse communities, we get to notice people who follow diverse fashion rules and each one is unique in their own way. From Saree which is pretty famous in Kolkata and Bengalis feel proud of to Lehengas which are quite popular among many and one of the most sought-after apparels, Kolkata Fashion Expo is a place where people are likely to find every type of ethnic apparel being showcased. In 2016, some manufacturers travelled miles to bring their greatest creations in order to uphold the rich cultures of their places but at the end, they all were redefining the ethnic fashion sense of India together and at this point, we must tell you that we at KFE always take pride being able to provide you with a certain podium where Indian Ethnicity has achieved a new form and in the near future, we look forward to becoming the greatest B2B fashion event in the Eastern India.
