Kolkata Fashion Expo 2017 in the City of Kolkata – An Ethnic Tale Worth Knowing!
On August 4 and 5, 2017, Kolkata has witnessed the grandeur of an elite class story of the fashion carnival – a carnival which has promoted some of the unique and jaw-dropping designs in traditional ethnic clothing which remained unapprehended until Kolkata Fashion Expo 2017 stormed the town.
2017 was the year when we knew this year KFE was going to be somewhat different from what KFE had done in the City of Joy in the previous years. Mystery always arouses curiosity in the minds of beholders and we perused this as our KFE 2017 theme. Since curiosity was the theme we chose, our effort to make the entire setting mystic had doubled by curating and decorating the venue with masked faces and mannequins that would urge the visitors to be more curious about KFE.
The entire venue was divided into four distinct settings – Exhibition arena, Stalls, Fashion Arena and Food Court. Participants made their journey to KFE Kolkata 2017 from diverse places of India with their precious and worthy possession of exemplary ethnic coutures. We had all the eminent & prominent manufacturers of the city, who has been conquering the industry from very beginning. Our aim was to make the event grand and that’s why we paid attention to every little details of the venue from carpet to lights, from high security to comfort. The decor was executed to enthrall the guests and visitors and their ‘wow’ reaction was the consequence of this.
Fashion in the road to ethnicity was going to be redefined. KFE was formulated with the ambition to revive Indian traditional clothing culture – a culture that is celebrated all over the world. Each stall was brimming with astounding collections of ethnic apparels to mesmerize the buyers, guests, fashionistas and visitors. While some stalls were speaking of what the Indian Bridal Couture is, some stalls were focussed on redefining the traditional Lehengas and others. We had space for every kind of manufacturers- be they famous for their weaving of ethnic fashion or about to be. Everyone was equipped with their best creations that were manufactured over a period of time with continuous exertion and when such endeavor makes its way to KFE, it is bound to be praiseworthy and KFE Kolkata 2017 was not an exceptional one. It was a great achievement for us when buyers left the KFE with a promise to return to us with more expectations. On these two days, Kolkata beheld what the biggest carnival in the country had to offer its patrons.
